Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort and Offshore Island in Nassau reopened to guests 1/27/22 following a $55 million renovation project.

Sandals Royal Bahamian has history, culture, and a hint of the exotic. You’ll find it all here at this resort in Nassau, Bahamas. We love spending the day on Sandals private island, which is a half mile away and just a quick water taxi ride away. If you are planning a destination wedding in the Bahamas, this would be the perfect spot!

The resort is located on the best beach in Nassau, so if sun, sand, and surf are your things, this is one of the best Sandals resorts to visit. When you’re not lounging on the picture-perfect sands, you can swim in one of seven pools (some are cleverly hidden away) or relax in one of six whirlpools.

There are plenty of options on-site to keep you busy but if you’re looking for day trips we recommend a quick flight over to Exuma to golf their Greg Norman course at Sandals Emerald Bay and utilize your luxury included exchange privileges. Flights are not included but are fairly inexpensive and definitely worth it! We also recommend a day trip of Swimming Pigs, Turtles, Pink Sand Beaches & Snorkeling to the Spanish Wells that you can book here!

DO:

• Book a butler suite if you can – believe us, it’s worth every penny.
• Book an early flight on your arrival day if possible, you may have to overnight somewhere the night before. Even if your room isn’t ready, you can still have the entire day to relax by the beach. You are more than welcome to start enjoying the restaurants and bar as soon as you arrive. It’s like having an extra half a day of vacation.
• Make sure you bring at least one pair of pants for your man because a few of the restaurants have dress codes.
• If you have ever thought about getting SCUBA certified, do it on property.  The cost is extremely nominal compared to in the U.S. and you get PADI Open Water certified within 2-3 days.
• Plan on booking your next vacation while you are there. You get an additional discount that can be combined with any offer if you book on property. This is easily can be transferred back to your travel advisor so that you have our guidance and assistance but receive the on-site booking benefits (You only pay a $200 deposit and then you can change your dates or pay up to 60 days before you leave for your next trip)

DON’T:

• Forget your sunscreen. It’s expensive in the resort shop.
• Forget to fill out your butler preferences before your arrival.  This helps them plan your dinner reservations as well as stock your bar appropriately.
• Worry about tipping the resort staff, other than your butler.  It’s included in the price and they are not allowed to accept tips.  One of the best things is being able to leave your purse or wallet in the safe from arrival until you leave!
